Amazon Unveils Early Holiday Deal Submissions and Peak Fulfillment Fees for 2026 Season

Amazon sellers are gearing up for an earlier start to the crucial holiday selling season, with the e-commerce giant announcing that deal submissions for its fifth annual Prime Big Deal Days can commence as early as July 8, 2026. This proactive approach extends to Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday promotions, allowing sellers ample time to strategize and secure coveted spots in Amazon’s promotional calendar. Alongside these early submission windows, Amazon has also outlined its holiday peak fulfillment fees, providing essential information for sellers to navigate the increased operational costs expected during the busiest shopping periods.

The submission window for Prime Big Deal Days deals opens on July 8 and closes on September 8. Similarly, for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday, sellers have from July 8 until October 20 to submit their promotional offers. Amazon is incentivizing early submissions by offering a discount on upfront promotion fees. Sellers who submit their Prime Big Deal Days deals by August 5 and their Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals by September 5 will benefit from a $50 reduction in these fees. This early submission discount encourages sellers to finalize their holiday strategies well in advance, ensuring a smoother planning process for both Amazon and its third-party sellers.

To guarantee that products are eligible for the Prime badge and can be fulfilled efficiently during these peak periods, sellers must ensure their inventory reaches Amazon fulfillment centers by specific deadlines. For Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) shipments need to arrive by September 2. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) shipments selecting the "minimal shipment splits" option must be received by September 9. For FBA shipments utilizing the "Amazon-optimized shipment splits" option, which is the choice most sellers opt for, the deadline is September 16.

Amazon Opens Holiday Deal Submissions on July 8

The deadlines for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday are extended to accommodate the later surge in demand. AWD shipments must arrive by October 14. FBA shipments with the "minimal shipment splits" option have a deadline of October 21. FBA shipments using the "Amazon-optimized shipment splits" option must be received by October 28. These staggered deadlines underscore the importance of inventory management and proactive shipping strategies for sellers aiming to maximize their visibility and sales during the critical holiday shopping months.

In addition to the deal submission timelines, Amazon has detailed its Holiday Peak Fulfillment Fees for the upcoming season. These fees will be in effect from October 15, 2026, to January 14, 2027, mirroring the same period as the previous year. The peak fees will apply to various fulfillment services, including Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), and Buy with Prime. This extended period covers the entire holiday shopping rush, from the lead-up to Black Friday through the post-Christmas sales and into the new year.

The per-unit increase for these holiday peak fulfillment fees is expected to remain consistent with the previous year, averaging an additional $0.32 per unit compared to non-peak rates. Furthermore, a 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge will be applied on top of these holiday peak fulfillment fees, adding to the overall operational costs for sellers during this busy period. Amazon has made these peak rates accessible for sellers to review and compare. The Revenue Calculator, Profit Analytics dashboard, and Fee and Economics Preview Report now include these projected costs, enabling sellers to meticulously plan their pricing strategies and assess the profitability of their products during the peak season.

In a separate, but related, announcement made on Tuesday, Amazon revealed a significant shift in its seller eligibility requirements for the Featured Offer. Starting this month, Amazon will begin gradually removing these requirements across all its global marketplaces, with the process expected to be completed by the end of 2026. This change signifies a move towards a more inclusive system for product listings, where sellers’ existing offers will automatically be included without the need for any specific action on their part. The intention behind this adjustment is to streamline the process and potentially broaden the competitive landscape for product visibility on the platform. This move, while not directly tied to holiday deals, impacts the overall selling environment and could influence how sellers approach their promotional strategies throughout the year.
