Amazon sellers are gearing up for an earlier start to the holiday selling season, with the online retail giant now accepting submissions for Prime Big Deal Days and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday events as early as July 8, 2026. This proactive approach, detailed in recent seller communications, signifies Amazon’s commitment to facilitating robust holiday promotions and managing fulfillment logistics efficiently. The company has also outlined critical deadlines for inventory arrival to ensure Prime-badge eligibility and has confirmed the continuation of holiday peak fulfillment fees, with specific details on their structure and application.
The fifth annual Prime Big Deal Days event is slated to return around the same timeframe as last year, which was held on October 7-8, 2025. While an official confirmation for the precise dates of this year’s event has not been released by Amazon, the consistent timing suggests a similar October window for the major sale.
For sellers aiming to participate in these key promotional periods, the submission windows are clearly defined. The deal submission period for Prime Big Deal Days will run from July 8 to September 8, 2026. Concurrently, the submission window for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals opens on July 8 and extends through October 20, 2026. Amazon is incentivizing early submissions with a fee discount. Sellers who submit their Prime Big Deal Days deals by August 5 and their Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals by September 5 will benefit from a $50 reduction on the upfront promotion fee, encouraging prompt planning and execution of their holiday strategies.
Ensuring that products are available and eligible for the coveted Prime badge is paramount for maximizing sales during these high-traffic periods. Amazon has established specific inventory arrival deadlines at its fulfillment centers to facilitate this. For Prime Big Deal Days, sellers utilizing Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) must have their inventory arrive by September 2, 2026. For Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) shipments, the deadlines vary based on the chosen shipment split option. FBA shipments with the "minimal shipment splits" option selected must arrive by September 9, 2026. For the majority of sellers who opt for "Amazon-optimized shipment splits," the deadline for FBA inventory is September 16, 2026.

Similarly, for the Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday events, inventory must meet earlier arrival dates to qualify for Prime eligibility. AWD shipments are due by October 14, 2026. FBA shipments with "minimal shipment splits" have an arrival deadline of October 21, 2026. Sellers opting for "Amazon-optimized shipment splits" must ensure their FBA inventory reaches Amazon facilities by October 28, 2026. Adherence to these dates is crucial for sellers to leverage the full benefit of Amazon’s Prime program during the critical holiday sales period.
In addition to the deal submission and inventory deadlines, Amazon has also provided clarity on its Holiday Peak Fulfillment Fees for 2026. These fees, which apply to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), and Buy with Prime services, will be in effect from October 15, 2026, to January 14, 2027. This timeframe mirrors the duration of the fees from the previous year, indicating a consistent approach to managing increased operational demands during the holiday season.
The per-unit increase for holiday peak fulfillment fees will remain consistent with the previous year, averaging an additional $0.32 per unit compared to non-peak rates. This charge is designed to cover the elevated costs associated with managing higher volumes of orders and shipments during the busiest shopping period of the year. Furthermore, a 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge will be applied on top of these holiday peak fulfillment fees, reflecting ongoing fluctuations in transportation and operational costs.
To assist sellers in financial planning and cost assessment, Amazon has made peak rates readily accessible. The specific peak rates for FBA and Remote Fulfillment with FBA are now integrated into the Revenue Calculator, the Profit Analytics dashboard, and the Fee and Economics Preview Report. This allows sellers to meticulously compare fulfillment costs across different options and make informed decisions about their inventory and fulfillment strategies for the upcoming holiday season.
In a separate but related development, Amazon announced on Tuesday that it will begin removing seller eligibility requirements for the Featured Offer, a change that will commence this month. This significant policy shift, which is set to roll out gradually across all Amazon stores globally and be completed by the end of 2026, aims to simplify the process for sellers to be prominently displayed. No immediate action is required from sellers, as their existing offers will automatically be included as the update is implemented across the platform. This move signals Amazon’s ongoing efforts to refine its marketplace dynamics and enhance the visibility of seller products.
