Amazon is gearing up for its busiest sales periods with a comprehensive plan for its sellers, commencing with the opening of holiday deal submissions on July 8, 2026. This year, the e-commerce giant has introduced earlier deadlines for submissions and provided crucial details regarding eligibility requirements for its popular Prime Big Deal Days and the Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday events. Furthermore, Amazon has announced its holiday peak fulfillment fees, which will impact sellers utilizing Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and other fulfillment services.
The company confirmed that its fifth annual Prime Big Deal Days event is scheduled to take place around the same time as the previous year. In 2025, this event was held on October 7-8. While an Amazon spokesperson declined to confirm the exact dates for this year’s Prime Big Deal Days, citing no official announcements, the earlier deal submission period suggests a similar timeframe.
For sellers aiming to participate in Prime Big Deal Days, the submission window for deals opens on July 8 and closes on September 8. Simultaneously, the submission period for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals also begins on July 8 but extends further, with a deadline of October 20. To incentivize early participation and streamline operations, Amazon is offering discounts on upfront promotion fees. Sellers who submit their Prime Big Deal Days deals by August 5 will receive a $50 reduction on the promotion fee. A similar early-submission discount applies to Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals, with a deadline of September 5 for the $50 fee reduction.
Ensuring inventory is available at Amazon facilities is critical for Prime-badge eligibility, and the company has outlined specific deadlines for sellers to meet. For Prime Big Deal Days, inventory must arrive at Amazon facilities by September 2 for Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) shipments. For FBA shipments utilizing the "minimal shipment splits" option, the deadline is September 9. Sellers who opt for the "Amazon-optimized shipment splits" option, which is the most commonly selected by sellers, must have their FBA inventory arrive by September 16.

Similar inventory arrival deadlines are in place for the Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday sales. AWD shipments need to arrive by October 14. FBA shipments with the "minimal shipment splits" option selected have a deadline of October 21, while those using the "Amazon-optimized shipment splits" option must have their inventory arrive by October 28.
In addition to the deal submission and inventory deadlines, Amazon has also detailed its Holiday Peak Fulfillment Fees for 2026. These fees will be in effect from October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027, mirroring the same period as the previous year. The holiday peak fees will apply to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), and Buy with Prime services.
The per-unit increase over non-peak rates for these holiday peak fulfillment fees is expected to average $0.32 per unit, consistent with last year’s rates. On top of these peak fulfillment fees, a 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge will also be applied. Amazon has made these peak rates readily accessible to sellers, providing them within the Revenue Calculator, Profit Analytics dashboard, and Fee and Economics Preview Report. This allows sellers to effectively compare fulfillment costs across different options and plan their operations accordingly.
In a separate development announced on Tuesday, Amazon is set to remove seller eligibility requirements for the Featured Offer. This significant change, which is designed to streamline the selling process and potentially increase visibility for a wider range of sellers, will be implemented gradually across all Amazon stores globally, with completion expected by the end of 2026. Amazon has stated that no action is required from sellers, as their existing offers will automatically be included with this update. This move signifies a broader shift in how Amazon manages product listings and aims to ensure that a diverse array of sellers can compete for the coveted Featured Offer position.
