This strategy represents a particularly good deal for the company, as it manages to enhance perceived value without committing to long-term financial liabilities or equity dilution. Whether this arrangement ultimately proves to be a good deal for the engineer, however, depends on complex questions that most engineers currently lack sufficient information to answer definitively. The long-term implications for career growth, wealth accumulation, and job security remain largely speculative, making careful consideration essential for those navigating this new frontier of compensation.
